How To Make A Silhouette LightShade Without Lifting A Blade

I can't tell you how excited I was to create this lampshade makeover project. Especially when I didn't have to lift an x-acto blade to cut the silhouette by hand. This entire project took less than 30 minutes to make and a little more drying time. But it's possible to assemble the lamp and allow to dry as it stands.
Using a lamp that I already owned, I wanted to update the shade. I thought that a simple decoupage trick with a cut out would be a great idea. Find and download the cut file, then upload to the Cricut design space. Set up the Cricut Machine, choose a heavy weight card stock to use for your silhouette piece and adhere to your sticking mat.
Load the mat into the Machine and then send the file over to cut. To see how to lift the cut file properly, check the blog post. Then add a layer of decoupage glue to the inside of the shade.
You want to be able to adjust the cut cardstock without ripping it, which is why it's important that you don't use plain paper. When you are happy with the position of the silhouette, add more decoupage glue to seal it in and allow to dry. There are more images available over at the post.
