I really really like it the way it is!If you'd a smal change, perhaps you can paint the hardware to match your furniture?

First of all, I would flip flop it's location with the chair and place a smaller basket under the chest. I think you are probably looking for the color of the chest to have more depth. Why not try using a dark antiquing glaze over it. It's a very pretty piece.

It's too pretty to change. I think it's the big basket underneath that is throwing things off and seems out of place. Perhaps a different location for the chest that isn't as busy with other things around it would also make it stand out a little more.

May I suggest...its a very lovely piece. I would as someone suggested place the chair on the chest opposite side. And...I would remove most of the artwork on the wall above. I would keep the one red accented abstract painting above the chair nearer the outside of the wall . The small lightcolor starburst mirror could be the accent near above or on top the chest.

Oh my gosh! Give it to me! I love it just the way it is! But if you decide not to give it to me, 😉 then I would definitely leave it as is, minus the basket and most of the deco above the chest. It's too busy and that beautiful little chest is trying to compete with all of the things above it.

I agree with the rearranging but would also change the wall color to something to contrast with the chest .
