Put the oven racks in the bathtub with dawn dish soap and leave in the tub overnight. This should break down the grease to make it easier to clean.

In my experience I have used Bar Keeps Friend which works great on oven racks. It is also great on your cook ware. Hope this helps and have a great day.

I always just spray the oven cleaner on the oven racks, just as I do to the oven walls. Let it sit in the oven, the recommended time and then take them out of the oven & rinse them off. Works everytime!

I have a self cleaning oven, but you got the best advice unless you have a pressure washer to use outside...bar keepers friend is also great for outside grill grates, and fireplace grates and any stainless steel appliance

For standard cleaning, use a soapy sponge and hot water to wipe the racks. For stubborn messes, soak oven racks in hot water, dish soap, and a couple scoops of baking soda. Let the racks soak in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes before scrubbing clean with a soft sponge.
