Ground in bad shape, what do I put in before I plant?

    You must amend the soil with composted manure,garden soil and lime.

      No lime for a peach tree, unless soil is very acidic. Peach trees like a slightly acidic soil.

    You might want to test the soil first. Home improvement centers have soil testers. The tester will tell you what you need to add to adjust the Ph and what the basic nutrients are in the soil.

    Try a well-kept plant nursery get all the info from there while buying a similar tree. That is what they love doing. Best of luck with it. Nothing beats fresh fruit from your own tree.
