    oops I didn't finish my question. My machine takes a long time to fill on the cold setting, then my clothes are extra wet.

    Have you turned the cold water faucet to the machine on as far as it will go?
  • I would call someone out to service your machine. My best guess the water connection is not hooked up properly and the spin cycle is not spinning . . .

    In hoses there is a seal that goes in the female end of the hose. In most washing machine there is a seal with a metal filter to preclude debris getting into the machine. (Yes there is debris in the water). The filter may be clogged. If so go to a hardware store and get a couple.
