How to make flowers grow?

Looking at the front of my house I plant flowers on the left side of the porch they grow very well but they do not grow very well on the right ,left side is partly sunny the right is very sunny so I plant flowers that can get a lot of sun and they still do not grow very well what should I do?

Are you fertilizing your plants? Does your soil need to be amended to add some nutrients? Are you providing the proper amount of water? What type of plants are you trying to grow? That may be helpful to provide you with a better answer.
