yes if on the inside but if on the outside, it will peel off eventually.
Not a good idea if the door will be exposed to the elements. You should use an exterior latex paint.
I don't suggest it if it's getting hit by sun for any amount of time. If rain comes in and touches the door it can be an issue. If you do want to use indoor paint, I would suggest a high gloss so it's the most weather repellant. Most outdoor paints can be tinted almost any color. If it's a gloss your looking for, it could work. There will most likely need to be a lot of prep work. If that door has any stain on it at all, it will all need to come off so you are painting on bare wood.
