Cover them with paper coated with something they don't like. Something sticky?Something prickly? Use pieces of lint roller tape?

If you are home and able to monitor the behavior, a squirt from a water bottle stops them.

I have tried everything. There is NOTHING that you can teach a cat. They might behave better initially, but they have very bad memories.

We just have been telling our cat Gary what he is not allowed to do. But, we are home all the time, and have been working with him since he came to us.
He's turned into a good cat. Who knows what goes on when he's alone.
I wish i had enough patience to toilet train him!

Clear clean runner rugs turned upside down, they hate the nubs that the runners have they are like little spikes. I used it around my Christmas tree, kept little kids and cats away.
