You will need to put netting over the plant. Or you can pick those tomatoes 🍅 when they are green right before they turn red. Just set the green tomatoes on your countertop to ripen. Do not put them in the refrigerator. Hope that helps!

Set them on a paper towel on your counter, the paper towel makes them ripen and last longer. This was a tip from a professional and it works. Tomatoes do not need refrigeration even after cuttung if you wrap in plastic wrap and put on the paper towel. Once cut you should use them in a day or so.

You can buy bird netting at any garden center. Place it over your tomato bed and anchor it down with garden pegs. They'll still get the sunshine and water they need and birds, deer and rabbits won't eat them on you!

I actually had ants and fruit flies eating my cherry tomatoes that happened to split on the vine. I left them on for them to eat and leave the other tomatoes alone. I have seen birds peck at my strawberries that are by my bird feeder also.

Probably squirrels, they are looking for water. Put a few bowels/small buckets of water AROUND your garden for them to get a drink and they should leave your moisture filled tomatoes alone ☺
