Can someone please tell me why the leaves are curling on my angel trumpets? Thanks!
the leaves look like royal empress but it does not grow berries....i would guess a mulberry tree....grows berries that look like large blackberries and used for making jam or eaten straight from the tree.....a very messy tree when near a sidewalk and berries will stain your clothes permanently....but take your picture to a local plant nursery...bet they know
MULBERRY !!! have tons of them around my yard and my daughter grew up eating them with me every in late Spring (in competition with the birds, LOL) . Now both of my granddaughters join us and we get several bowls full each year, fully meaning to use them in a quick pie (because they are so delicate and won't withstand too much messing with); however, we always end up eating them washed and fresh before we can cook them up. We look forward to Winter's end each year so we can get some mulberries (and of course we DO leave enough for the animals -- sometimes they even beat us to them all and WE get nothing LOL). HERE WE GO 'ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH ! :D
Mulberry. We have one at our new place. The squirrels and birds love them so you might not get to eat a lot of them unless you can figure out a way to keep the critters from eating them all.
Mulberry. Loved my tree. Made jam from berries
It's a mulberry tree, there are several types but the most common has the dark purple to black fruit
Yep, Mulberry!
Don't park your car under it
Between birds and berries, you will have a pitted paint job
Could be Mulberry
It's a Mulberry, all right. Can be very messy, but the berries are delicious. I had two huge ones once, where I could't reach the berries until they fell... the ground hogs would get to them before I could, and you haven't lived until you've seen groundhogs drunk on fermented berries...
Mulberry!! luckily the one I have is out on the edge of my property because here in Florida every vine on the planet gets climbing in it.
For anyone thinking about adding a mulberry to their landscape - there are new varieties that don't grow quite as huge as the 'wild' mulberry, more like a bush. Of course, you can keep them to a reasonable size by pruning - but check out the right time to do so, or you won't have berries! ;D
Mulberry
Yes, is a mulberry. Do you know that the mulberry stain cleans with a green one?
mulberry, is it really big, and the fruit like large rasperrries, very juicy ?
How lucky are you to have a Mulberry tree!!!!
Dr Suese It happened on Mulberry street. Great berrys but they make one awful mess when the fall or are eaten by the birds that then deposit them on your car.
Make awesome home made wine
How lucky you are....this tree is a mulberry....the birds love their berries and the berries make great jellies and jams....we have one in the first home we ever owned and it was about 25' high and the base was huge....I would think that that tree was very old, but we had all colors and kinds of birds on it....we had to fight for the fruit we did get to pick. Loved it.
There are several apps for your phone that you take a picture of the leaf and it identifies the tree. One of these apps is called "Leafsnap"
Mulberry. Good eating and makes great jelly
