I plant in containers. After the last frost, usually 10th of May.

White buckets and Black Velvet mushroom compost. Fertilize once a week with Miracle-Gro liquid all purpose plant food (32fl oz about $5.00). Every thing can be bought at Walmart one trip. You can still plant tomatoes two good ones are a Rutger and Red cherry. Use the compost straight no mixing potting soil with it. My tomatoes seam to grow better in a white bucket. Watch for bugs.

Tomato plants should be planted after your last expected frost date, however due to the extreme erratic temperares unless it is consistent at 60 degrees or above at night I would recommend waiting a little longer. Once established for a few weeks add a fertilizer for tomatoes with a higher phosporus number which will produce more fruit. Pinch any flowers that are to close together.
