Yes, I do it all the time. The consistency may not be as good as the store bought Chalk Paint (depending on the recipe and how well it is mixed.) I especially like purchasing the "oopse" paints in Home Depot or Lowes stores at a drastically reduced price and making homemade chalk paint.
