Looks like a nightstand or a small side (end) table. Any better photos ?
Silverware chest, night stand, end table?
Are the drawers lined with felt? Then it is indeed for silverware. But my guess is it is a sweet end table or night stand. Picture shows a gold inlay, is it leather or paint?
I'm suggesting an end table. Whatever it is, it is stunning! Don't paint it. It's a keeper for sure.
