Add mints and small onions to your herb mix, which cats are supposed to hate. I know they hate vinegar, so you can set out a couple of saucers with vinegar until your cat learns not to mess with your herbs. Good luck, and best wishes.

get yourself a couple of decorative bird cages ( the kind that the tops come off). Grow your herbs in there and the kitty's won't be able to get at them. Also some of the herbs are poisonous to cats!

Putb Vicks Vapo Rub on the edge of the planter / pot. The cats will stay away. : )

I put my kitchen plants on the back of my counter next to the window for max sun access. My fur babies have been taught to stay off the kitchen countertops (a little squirt from a water bottle will do the trick and they don't know it's coming from you. They quickly learn to stay down and no one gets hurt). Happy gardening.

  • I have 6 cats in and out of the house all day long. Mine know counter tops and book cases are a no no. It will take time, but you can teach them. Until then, I would cage the plants, make them a hot house, tent them with plastic bags with holes.
