What are some hard to kill plants that do well in pots?

I have a black thumb lol, so need some ideas for hardy potted plants, preferably perennial.

i have geraniums that go out in spring then come in fall. It has lasted 4 years, doing really good

Peace lillies are great. They don't need a lot of light and they let you know when to water them. They wilt. Water them well and then leave them alone until they wilt again. Every 6 months or so use a liquid fertilizer. When they out grow the container, un-pot and split them up - more plants. There are also some new variegated versions.
