Check out "air layering" on line.
Take a few cuttings, put them in a vase with plenty of water, stick the vase in a sunny (not direct sun) window. In about 6-8 weeks you'll have a great set of roots and you can plant these rootings outside depending on the season. This is how I have gotten all of my gardenias; my mother roots them for me from hers. Sometimes the cuttings will even bloom in the vase! Strong stuff. Good luck. TeresaC
