How can I Mosiac glass?

The open areas on top have a clear glass inlay...id like to mosaic the class with ceramic tile chips...any pointers as to how to do that?
I don't think you can mosaic directly onto glass I've tried it before and the tiles pop off. What you can do is cut a piece of plywood to fit in the openings and then Mosaic on top of that
I would screw a piece of 1/4 inch plywood and reinforce the middle with 1 x 2 boards every 4 inches the braces these are for stability in the middle it will keep your grout from chipping
How exactly do I get the Mosaic look what kind of filler do I use to keep the pieces together I'm looking for that too what kind of mortar do I use
