Check your Frontline package. Does it say you need to apply it once a month? Just one application won't do it.

The best product for cat fleas, and the majority are those, is a product that requires a vets help to get is called revolution. It's a measured dose item that is a topical and is applied by the weight of the animal. Also make sure you get your cats on a good diet and get rid of the food with grains as the primary base and back to real meat vegetables and no fillers. I know it's not cheap but there is just too much junk out there and these poor animals of mine suffer from itchy skin too. Also Dinovite has a product for cats would be good to look at too. You won't see any bites as they are so tiny, but definitely look for tiny bits of black "dirt" on their skin. This is actually flea excrement. Also keep an eye out for tiny drops of blood on fabrics where they sleep. If you have an infestation in your home or yard just treating the cats may not be enough. Fabrics need to be washed with hot water and bleach to kill the eggs, and treat your home with flea bombs. It may take several treatments to kill them all.

My cat started itching and biting himself, I thought he started with fleas, turns out it was because he is allergic to fish (of all things) now we only give him chicken based food. I think you would know if the cats had fleas from seeing sore but check the FrontLine information.

There are also mites and infectious skin problems. I would have a vet check., so it can be addressed quickly. if they all have it, odds are good they all have the same condition

check for dry skin also they may have contact dermatitis or an allergy

Frontline changed their ingredients awhile back and doesn't work as well and not as all for some per my veterinarian. Due to the number of cats you have the cheapest and best way for you to do would be the Soresto collar. It is good for 8 months and works GREAT!!! Well worth the money. HOWEVER, I would check with my veterinarian if I were you to see how long I needed to wait before I could safely use the collar since you just did the Frontline. You may not have to wait at all or you may have to wait 30 days.

Something else to consider depending on how bad they were infested. Like us even after the fleas are gone we still itch from the bites. So do our babies.

I had a huge problem with my dogs when we moved house, the previous tenant did have a dog so I had to assume that the fleas had waited for a host, they can live up to a year I think, so I spoke to my vets and they said that over the counter Frontline no longer has the same ingredients and you need to buy one on prescription or get a jab from your vet, I did get the prescription Frontline and then used a spray to cover the whole house paying attention to skirting boards etc, I steamed every bit of my carpets and floors and all of the dogs bedding having washed it at 60% I did my couch and bedding too. I managed to get rid of the horrible little blighters quite quickly but it took hard work, I now get my frontline delivered when it's due for each dog and pay a monthly fee, it is quite cost effective and reminds me when they are due to be treated. I had to put my oldest cat on a prescription diet due to allergies. I was sure he had fleas because of his itching, but it was dry skin due to allergies. It just happened ont of the blue. 10 years of healthy skin with a quality kibble and then he just started itching. So odd... Poor old man. He's much better these days.

Hi Lynneifas, not sure whether you will have Pets at Home stores in USA they sell both prescription Frontline & Advantage, I was told that the ordinary stuff you could buy off the shelf in UK wasn't strong enough I had been treating my 2 little dogs with them for years although mainly as a precaution, I'm not sure how things go in US regarding prescription drugs but it would be worth checking with your vet. Fleas are disgusting little swine who spread disease and make your beloved pets uncomfortable or worse. I hope you can get on top if you have a problem
