What would be the best type of railing to use on the hill?

Terraced garden. I need to hold on to something if I use the path..which goes through the arbor then up a small grade.

Try this! Use however many posts you need for the length of your pathway/steps. Drill holes in them and run a large rope through the holes. On the end posts, run the rope through and then tie a knot to hold it in place. Cute, cheap and handy!
