What's the best way to install gutters on an angled soffit?

When the contractor replaced the soffits he left the ends at 90 degrees to the angle of the roof leaving the end with the drip edge angled back toward the house. That angle doesn't allow for gutters to be installed in a good condition. What is the best way to make it square to the world without rebuilding the soffits.

The best way to fix this is to take a level from where your fascia meets the shingles and hold it so it is plumb. Then measure from the edge of the level to about 3" down the fascia. Now you have the dimensions of a triangle:

    | L |\

    | E |..\

    | V |...\

    | E |.....\

    | L |.......\

    ........../|\

    ...........|

    (measure this gap)

Next take a piece of wood, and cut it in to triangles. If you want i recommend you paint them the colour of your fascia.

Snap a slightly sloped chalk line across your fascia where the trough will be going, and screw the blocks on following this line, spacing them appox. 16" apart.

Now when you put the trough up, just make sure each bracket is passing through each block

    Hope this helps
