They hate citrus smell so try sprinkling citrus peels around to keep them out

You could sprinkle or spray vinegar in the areas your cats go in. They may be attracted to the loose cool soil. Could you rake up a little cat bathroom in another part of the yard? Maybe put a spinner, some litter treats, a strand of jingle bells, or something else that might attract cats there? You may have to weave twine all through your garden to keep the cats out, or train the cats to a carbocations instead of outside. Best wishes for happy gardening.

I purchased an animal repellent at Home Depot to deter the neighborhood cats. It comes in either a liquid or granular form. I use the granular type and sprinkle it over the area. It has to be reapplied after it rains. So far no more kitties in the garden!

I ended up having to put some wire screen(1/2" holes) just under the mulch or dirt where he was peeing. Cats don't like scratching anything like that. You can also use the plastic pieces with points on them. They don't hurt them, but they won't walk on them either. Some people use them to keep animals off a piece of furniture. I heard of someone laying out mouse traps.DON'T do that! It can break their little feet.

Hi There, it's natural for cats to go and pee in the garden but the urine can damage plants if they always go to the same area. Try planting plants that cats don't like. Citronella, lavender, Pennyroyal, Rue and Lemon Thyme are all good choices. Consider getting a cat litter box to encourage them to do their business there. Please ensure that the litter is changed once a day.
