Would it look alright to paint kitchen cabinets a very, very light shade of green and the cabinet doors a light sage green? I have one 8x12 wall that is desert shades of stacked stone. Help! not a interior decorator

I think it sounds lovely! Make sure your colors coordinate- some of the specialty paint stores (Sherwin Williams, etc.) have people who will work with you. Buy the sample sizes of your colors and paint part of a cabinet and door so you can see how they look at all times of the day. Green can be tricky, but your idea for different shades on the boxes and doors is great!

Hi. I would paint them in those shades as long as the walls are white or cream; otherwise your kitchen would become dark. If the rest of the kitchen doors have a similar shade or different that elegantly contrast, you go paint them!! please share photos.

Don, Your idea of the greens to accent the colors in the desert shades wall sounds beautiful. The sage green would work well if it is not too light. You might consider slightly muted tones to blend with the stones.

The other green I have no clue because there are so many shades of green to consider. If I were attempting to accomplish this task, I would 'get two pieces of 1"X4" or maybe 1"X6" and paint one with the sage and the other with your second choice of green. Allow to dry and they stand them next to each other near the wall.

Walk away! (Give your eyes and brain a chance to get off the color scheme you are working on and adjust.) Then go back in and consider the effect you notice upon entering. That is what you will be stuck with if you paint the whole project. By the way, I would also walk in 2 or 3 times: In the morning light, noon sun, and evening shadows. Each will provide a differing perspective. Hope your project works beautifully, Take care and God bless
