I've heard of planting citronella to deter ticks. Also mint, rosemary and garlic! Or you could get some natural tick repellents! We use natural repellents from Wondercide for our dog and yard. We've had great results!

Thank you all so much. I will try your remedies. I love the tea tree method. And the essential oils. Can't wait to try. Last year I used the skin so soft. I have always heard that it works. I got chiggers all over. So, I don't know what happened. Happy Gardening !

Hi there, Eucalyptus oil is known as an effective tick repellent and killer. Just combine 4 ounces of purified or distilled water into a small spray bottle along with 20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. You can also use diatomaceous earth. This article will give you more information on why and how it works - https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/what-is-diatomaceous-earth
