What type of plant or flower is good for a box around a tree?

    Inpatients like shade or you could plant hosts they like shade too

    Hosta,Heuchera,Lirope....perennials....Coleus,non-stop begonia-new guinea impatiens,and caladium for annuals.

    You will definitely want flowers that grow well in partial-sun or shade. So really it's just whatever flowers you prefer as long as they grow well in partial-sun or shade.

    My neighbors planted tulip bulbs in theirs and they look great every year. The down side is that they don't bloom all season. I think day lilies would do well there too.
