I'm so excited for summer. When the sun decides to come out in Ireland (usually for one day a year) guaranteed the local shops will be sold out of hot dog buns and the queues at the butchers will be down the street. Eating outside though can have it's own set of problems. Especially if you are in Ireland. Mostly wind related. Tablecloth weights or something to attach the table cloth to the table is essential. This project was a no brainer.
This is one of the final strawberries and all of the supplies used to create one!
Mix up your cement according to the instructions. I ended up making way too much because I added two much water. I advise that you add little bits at a time to avoid making an entire container full!
Bend the hooks so that they won't slip out of the dried cement. To see how to bend them, check out the original post right here. Pour the cement slowly and make sure you haven't made a mess around the edges. If you've made a mess don't worry, you can always use sand paper to sand any rough edges when dry.
It took 24 hours for my cement to dry completely
I should have twisted the hook around because when hanging, it's sideways. But that's just one. The rest are ok.  You can't just paint directly onto cement, it will absorb the paint. You need a primer. To find out all of the supplies, check out the original post on my blog.
Ta neTa daaaah! I think it looks great and it's lots of fun to hang off the table cloth. The clip is really strong and the cement is heavy enough to keep your tablelcloth in place when you're eating outside this summer!
