Why won't our rhodendron bush bloom this year? We had 1 bloom!

It was in full bloom last year. I saw another rhodie that did the same thing ... just 1 blossom ... nothing else!

Did you prune it last year? If so, you may have excised the branches where it would have bloomed this year....but it will bloom again next year where it was trimmed.
Sometimes this is out of your control. For instance if you started to get spring weather and then had a late frost you may have lost all your flower buds.
Did you have a unusual weather pattern from feeling to warm back to freezing etc.
