Are your orchids indoors or outside? Orchids like bright light, especially a windowsill which is a little cool. Orchids are sold in a plastic pot which is placed inside a decorative ceramic pot. This arrangement has no drainage, so pretty soon the orchid is soggy and dies. Take the orchids out of the plastic inner pot and put it in a regular flowerpot that has drainage on the bottom, the same size as it came from. Any roots that are on the surface should also be on the surface in the new pot. Buy soluble orchid food and make a dilute solution, and spray the surface roots every couple of days. You will see them turn nice and green. Don't water unless it feels dry. After the flowers start to die don't panic! Your plant isn't dead. It will slowly start to grow a new stalk from the base of the plant or a little bud on the side of the old stalk.
There are many nice tutorials on YouTube.

every morning, so I thought I would try itI used to have a hard time keeping my orchids alive. Now I water them once a week, but mist them every morning before breakfast, and I have 8 new flowers on my old orchid, it is a beauty. Orchids need spray water all over the leaves and flowers, but not too much where it drips all over just a light, but thorough misting does the trick. I watched a TV show and the woman had orchids in her kitchen window and she misted hers so I thought I would try that.
