Birds are sitting on the backs of our chairs outdoors and doing their business all over them. How can we prevent this from happening?

This is a part of the joys of enjoying the sunshine. Make sure you cover the chairs, when you are thru sitting in them, or fold them, and cover them. Best wishes, J.

Yep, those dirty birds are filling me, but not with joy, exactly!😉

I would try and stick something up (attach it to that back rung you see). Anything prickly or spikey - to keep the birds from landing there in the first place!

Hmmm, I've used foil balls to prevent birds from building nests on our front porc. Maybe....

  • Happens all the time to me too. I keep mine stacked with an old towel over the top and just take a chair when I want one. Plus I hose them down pretty regularly to keep them clean.

Buy one of those plastic owls and set it near the chairs. No more birds, rhey see owls as danger and won't come around.

This is SO worth a try! Thank you -- I surely hope it works because I spend a lot of time every day hosing off all pieces. Besides looking disgusting I worry about the health/safety of so much bird droppings.

If you do buy one of the owls or hawks, make sure they are the ones that have the movable heads. The ones with the solid heads just let the birds get used to them and won't the birds from coming around. The ones that have the breeze-caused movable heads look alive and have saved me from having messy chairs and nasty porch. Also has kept me from having to spend numerous hours washing them.

know, just let m I wonder if you have Moth balls near by, if they would come around. You may want to have a dish handy when you are outside, and open it , and then close it when you come inside. Just in case this works . . ok? Also, I found out that Bay leaves, when lighten,in a small fire will keep away misquitoes. So, maybe you would want to try this also. J

You could always just tip your chairs into the table so that the backs of the chairs are facing up.
