How do I get my iris to bloom. I have added food to make them bloom

They have not bloomed for three years in a row. Before that, I had plenty of blooms.

First is to ask if they are getting enough sun. Iris will not bloom well without apprx 6 hours sun/day. Sometimes as our gardens change, and trees grow, the sun/shade qualities of the gardens change. So check this out first. The other think is to check the rhizomes. Do they need to be split? Are the up enough so they get some sun and some air? Iris bulbs are different than other bulbs, as they like to be on top of the soil some. This is where I would start problem solving.

If these are iris growing from rhizomes, they need to be should do it every few years. Just Google "How to Divide Iris",.........there are a lot of good articles. It's sort of a mess to do it, but next spring they'll be so happy you'll have a ton of blooms.
