Which is best for N.E. all season birdbath?

The cement birdbath my dad created (from a dead tree stump, VERY, cool!) will meet it's fate this year. We know a replacement is due. MUST be, year-round. He uses a bird bath heater in winter to keep water from freezing. (MI winters can be cruel). We've seen ceramic, cement, resin etc. For the ridiculous sums demanded; it MUST hold up! If you live northwest to northeast where winter is brutal; and have a birdbath year round with heater in winter; PLEASE advise? Thanks in advance!

Barbara, the one Chas found is made with resin. "Molded of durable resin to withstand all temperatures and conditions." so I would think that would work. Check at your local garden stores that sell this type of product.

Hello Barbara!!! I am from Midland, also, plus many other moves. I sure know of the MI winters, and they are cruel. I only used the bird bath in the spring/Fall seasons, tho if you check out a large hardware store, like you have on Sag. Rd., they may help you. I hope this is under a tree, for that will help you also, in the MI winters. A SPECIAL BEST WISHES, from a Mid-Southern, now. Lots of changes in Midland, isn't there? Have a lovely weekend, J.

Sorry Barbara, missed that part. I did find this that might be able to direct you to just a bird bath since you have the heating element. https://www.thespruce.com/heated-bird-baths-385552, good luck

Thanks everyone! After some searching; the only conclusion is to DIY a new bath! And after all, isn't that what we do BEST, on Hometalk? Let the challenge commence, lol!
