My mother's home grown tomatoes were sweet and juicy. Mine are not?

    Soil is the KEY!!! try mixing baking soda to your soil and lots of water don't drown them lots of sun and make sure you keep the pest away that worm is the worst!! Sprinkle some Siven 7 or make you some water w a free drops of yellow dishwashing liquid and spray to keep them off.

    Not just a soil - tomatoes needs a lots of sun - at least 8 hours per day. Watering should be early in the morning or late in the evening.

    different varieties are sweeter than others and juicier than others.. SUN and DEEP WATERING ( often and regular times) are also a key.. try HEIRLOOM VARIETIES for a knockout flavor.. Some are funny looking but that REAL REAL TOMATO FLAVOR from decades ago A small variety I love is a yellow cherry tomato called SUN SUGAR..Its hard to resist popping a couple in your mouth every time you walk past them..

    Besides all of the above, planting Marigolds with your tomatoes is said to improve their flavor, I'm trying that this year!
