I would put this table into a shaded area, and then slowly lift up on the sides, work carefully, and it will come off just fine. Do not lay on top, for another winter. From now on, I would put elastic on the edges, so it will not stick again., or remove it at night. Tho, if you keep it in the shade at night, it shouldn't stick. Best wishes, J.

What about applying water, I would lay a bottle, just a pinch raised, and let this flow out r-e-a-l slow, hopefully to soak in. I would try this, even try several bottles, like empty water bottles, with a clothes pin on the bottom, this will let the water flow real slow. The longer you do this, the better. If rain is predicted, then do it anyway. I hope this helps you. Best wishes, and keep in touch, I will try to think of other ideas. You may have to go to Google and search for this answer. KEEP in TOUCH, and I will think of other ideas. OK? J.

Add a couple of drops mild dish soap Ivory or Dawn in warm water and work in sections then use plastic paint scrapper to gently scrape off

The same happened to my good dining table, don't want to cause more damage, but I can't get that off.

Same on my dining table, I had it covered when I wasn't using it and the felt is not adhered to it on one section. I started by using a lot of Wesson oil on it and was able to get some of it up with a dry wash cloth around the edges. I am continuing slowly as I don't want to ruin the wood. I am going to try Goo Gone in a spot under the table to see if this does the trick.

Good news and bad new. Old English lemon oil and Murphy oil soap along with a plastic dish washing ball will remove the plastic from the table top. Bad news is that the leached plastic attack the finish, now I have depressions on the finish.

I now see that I have to reinish the table top. Not a good outcome.
