What is the best way too make a small doggie pool for hot summers?

My dogs range from 3 pounds to 80 pounds. I need to find a way to make a pool area for all of them to enjoy and be able to get in and out of it comfortably. Georgia summers are very hot and humid when we are outside. Thank you!

G'day from Australia, as our summers are hot also, I actually purchased a concreters mixer tub, it's about 2' by 1' by about 6" or so. We also have dogs of varying sizes so the depth was kept in mind for the shortest one. I have seen them dug into the ground, but I wanted to be able to access easily as I'm disabled, to freshen the water or clean it out and to put it away through winter. If you wanted something more permanent, you could dig out an area that has a sloping grade for the dogs to walk in, using a fish pond liner and make to what size you require. Hope this has helped or at least given you an idea or two to suit.

My idea is similar to Barbs, but the idea is to get a kiddy pool. Dig a shallow spot that matches the size and shape of the kiddy pool. Place the pool into the hole, If you want to be able to remove it in the winter. An easy fix for that would be to use a tarp or large trash bag just to keep the dirt from getting on the pool. Then y have a shallow pool that is easy for your dogs to get in/out of. Yo could also put a short step into the pool if y have older dogs that have problems with their legs. Hope this helps.

I use a kiddie pool from the dollar store or walmart. If they put a hole in it just buy a new one and include it on the bottom of the old one. They get fresh water to play in each day or two and love it,

These sound much easier than grading the area with a slope and using concrete! Thank you so much

    Definitely a kiddie pool! Adorable
