May I ask why are you using drywall compound for the outside? It won't hold up.

  Bought by mistake on clearance. I live on disability. Can I add primer,glue, or paint or something to make it work?

No! Nothing will make it work for outside use. Sorry.

  Yeah, unfortunately, I don't think that it will work outside :( Do you have another indoor use for it? If not, maybe you can sell it on Craigslist or something?
