I can name some items in my toolbox: hammer, Phillips head and straight screwdrivers, hand saw, WD-40, measuring tape, duct tape, wood putty, wood glue, white glue, super glue, scraper, replacement razors, safety goggles and assorted screws nuts, nails and bolts. Good luck!

Pliers, a hand saw, superglue. If you can afford it, a cordless drill and a good set of bits/drivers.

Plastic gloves! A drop cloth. A ruler. A gift card to your favorite hobby or home improvement store. Command strips of various kinds. Assorted Washi or plastic colored/decorated tapes. The personal cell phone number of somebody knowledgeable at your hardware store. Permanent markers, a pencil, and a piece of chalk. Band aids. Best wishes 😇

It would depend on what types of projects you'll be doing. Carpentry , paint, upholstery and so on. Could you narrow down your choice?
