- Lenora wilsonon May 24, 2017I've seen where people hollow out a hole in the middle, fill with potting soil and plant their favorite flowers in it . I personally think they are beautiful.HelpfulReply

- MawDon May 24, 2017We made a flower bed around ours. We set a barrel type planter on top of stump with seasonal flowers then planted perrineal (sp) flowers below such as iris' etc. Then a border around the whole thing.HelpfulReply

- Chubby58on May 24, 2017I'm not sure how big your tree stump is or if it's located close to your house, but you could possibly surround it with landscaping bricks and put a grate on top and have yourself a fire pit. That would be one good way to get rid of the stump. Also planting elephant ears around it would definitely cover it, but they die out in cold weather.HelpfulReply

Gerlinde Gruettneron May 24, 2017My favorite is making it look like a fairy home. You can find mini windows and doors in a craft store or build your own with ice cream sticks or even twigs little garden furniture and flower pots and planters. This is so fun. Add a little stone walkway, even a mailbox. You can find almost everything in craft stores these days. Even make it into a gnome home, with little gnomes in the yard.HelpfulReply
- Gerlinde Gruettneron May 24, 2017Your'e very welcome. hope you like and try this idea. You don't have to be real creative and most of the things are already pre-made at craft stores and sometimes even your local dollar store has alot of things you can use. I forgot to add that you can buy moss and add that along the stone walkway with some little silk flowers. And you can still put a nice plant on the top of the stump providing it has a flat top. I wish I could help you do this, because it is so much fun...HelpfulReply

Tammyon May 24, 2017I have one that sits at the end of my drive. I found a large cement dog statue at a rummage sale and set him on top. He now protects our yard and makes an easy mark when having to give directions to our house.HelpfulReply

- Tammyon May 24, 2017Another idea I thought of later is you could bore a whole just wide enough for a flag pole and secure it in the stump.HelpfulReply
- Maria Lynnon May 24, 2017Use a chain saw to cut a circle in the middle of the stump (leaving enough on the edge so it won't crack). Fill with layers or mix of soil/soil mix, perlite, potting soil (check to see what is appropriate for your area). Plant your flowers or tomatoes and enjoy! Have fun!
