What to do with round dishwasher?

My kitchen is the original for this house. Built in 1960's & has a corner round dishwasher that still spins & water comes out, but I cannot get it to hold the soap. So more or less, it rinses the dishes! I'm ready to have it replaced but am not able to find a replacement. Any suggestions?
I've contacted Coronet to see if they had replacements or parts & have not received any answer. It's a Cornet Automatic Dishwasher model 6670, serial # 81698. Manufactured by Vulcan Manufacturing Company in St Louis.
Thanks!

After some research , I found out that this company is no longer in St. Louis . It is in Baltimore , MD . Also , I don't think that they even make dishwashers anymore . Here's the number though , in case you want to call , they might be able to direct you to someone who can help .

What a fun find. Look up Retro Renovation site. The readers there might be able to have a suggestion for you. Pam, the owner of the site might really like to see this. She has many articles about "finds" in mid century homes.

Post it for sale on Craigslist, or facebook.

Wow, like something right out of the Jetsons! I have never seen anything like it.

It is a good idea to put it in the corner, what is often just wasted space in the lower cabinets.

I am curious at to how the soap ( I am assuming that it is powdered soap) is meant to be added.. is it a dispenser that now doesn't stay closed?

Ah, now I see the red button. Thanks for the explanation.

After this many years, it could be that the inside valve for the soap dispenser is cracked, or broken off............

      Have you had any luck?

I have the same one!! But it wasn't connected under the sink when I moved in. It's a bazaar piece for sure 😆
