How long before able to stain new deck made of pressure treated wood?

    Most builders will tell you to wait a few months, but there's no need to. YOu can paint or stain it right away and you should so that the weather doesn't start deteriorting it.

      I agree...it needs to dry out from the "green treating." Then you can stain away to your hearts desire!!!

    All contractors I know say wait a year for the wood to completely dry out.

    Depending on wood and weather conditions in order to dry thoroughly before sealing you should wait at least 6 to 8 weeks.
