Need DIY side trays/arm extensions for medical geri-chair

I have a geri-chair , Drive model D574EW-BR. It's s a heavy duty medical recliner used in labs, hospitals and nursing homes.I really need to have something like the side trays that labs use to hold supplies or to support a patient's arms during IV's with similar chairs. I have multiple serious medical problems and have severe shoulder pain, making extending my arms much better for pain relief rather than keeping them close to my side. Drive has no accessory like this. How can I make something simple and inexpensive to attach to each side of my geri-chair that I can cushion or use a pillow on for comfort? I can't think of anything but know some of you can help. Thank you so much in advance!
