Roof and Soffit

Not sure if you are painting the house, as well as the soffits. From this vantage point, you are not going to see the soffits. If you are referring to the rain gutters, I think I would paint them white as well as the ceiling in the entryway to match the window and door trim. Might brighten things up a bit, as it looks a little dark around the doorway.

I agree with Pat, the doorway area needs to be brightened up, I would also go with white. I also think that since the entry is rather set back & darker...brighten it up by painting the overhead area white as well.

I would add to previous advice that you pick a shade of brown for your roof.

I would go with a dark roof...they always give a house an upscale look. Then, I would try something a little different. I would paint the whole entry area (including the brick) white to brighten it up. Leave the rest of the brick on the house alone, but paint all of your soffit and trim the same white as in the entry area. Repaint your front door in a pretty color that will stand out against the white walls, and I think you will be amazed at the difference! Post pics when you are done so we can all see!

i would take the big bushes out.plant same rose bushes and hosta.put shutters on the windows.take away the flower pots by the door.maybe put a small corner stand and put some pretty flowers on it.new roof.paint rain spouts and windows.

dark reddish shingles, window trim and door trim deep burgundy that looks good with the roof, paint the door 2 shades lighter than the brick, soffits and gutter same as the brick.
