My daughter brought a sunflower plant from a school project...

Where should I put it?

    ldeally you should place it in a spot that will get direct sunlight for most of the day.

    Plant it in a sunny location using a good potting soil and make sure it does not dry out.

    Plant it outdoors so that you, and later the birds, can enjoy it.

    sunflowers are named that because they love sun.....the perfect spot is where they would get 8 hours of sun a day

    Once the yellow leaves have fallen off you can harvest the seeds! You can cut the head of the flower off & let it dry out! You can then feed it to the birds, save the seeds to plant later or... soak over night in salt water & bake in the oven with a little olive oil for a tasty treat!
