DIY Farmhouse Coffee Table

1 Material
I love the Farmhouse trend in decor but it can sure be expensive to purchase. I ran across an old and pretty beat up coffee table at The Salvation Army Family Store and thought it might work!
Notice all of the burn maris all aound the table top? I used my orbital sander and carefully erased all of them. I am a leg girl and these legs on this table had me at hello. The big chunky legs were a key element for this particular project.
Now take a look!
I re finished the top of the coffee table using only Annie Sloan dark furniture wax. I really love how pine takes the color! I painted the base of the table in two coates of a white chalk paint and I was not really particular about the application. I new that I would be sanding a lot of that chalk paint right back off.
I love my new Farmhouse style coffee table for twenty three bucks! The hardest part was just finding a table with good Farmhouse bones but the search sure paid off! If you would like to read the entire project post on my blog just follow the link down below.
