That is exactly what I was going to say. A day at the beach, bowling, whatever the family members would get into, or perhaps each person can choose what they want for dinner in the next week. All I have to do is offer a meal to my daughters friends and they are here to help with anything ASAP!

Good luck! Lol Keep in mind these projects are probably more important to you than them. The trick is to make it important to them. Tie the chore to something everyone in the family enjoys. If we get this done than we can do that.

Teen or college guys love free food or home cooked meal. You might temp the girls by doing their laundry.

I'm usually the only DIYer in my family. It's an act of congress to get my fiancé to help with me on one of my projects, lol. But he usually does. Any time I ask for my mother to help she will most likely say yes. I do not have kids, yet, but bribery goes a long way, lol. Make a deal where you will go get ice cream, candy, toys, go to the park, etc. once y'all are done with the project. Food goes a long way with men. Well most of the time, lol.

I think you just have to leave them alone. Its Do It Yourself! If the spirit doesnt hit them, they wont be motivated.
