Once established I found ferns to fill in, look beautiful, and provide a screen under deck, they like shade.
Hmmm, that sounds interesting, I have been complicating on a ornamental grass that is purple and does not take over or grow too tall. It resembles Pampas grass but not nearly as bushy or tall. Then add variegated Hosta's.
Still thinking as I am 70 and want easy digging.
