Any suggestions on removing hair dye from my door?

I don't know how I even accomplished this,but last time I colored my hair,I got some dye on my door.I searched the internet and white tooth paste was their best advice.It has faeded it but not irradicated it.Thoughts anyone?

    Paint it. If that's not an option, try a little watered down bleach or hydrogen peroxide on a Q tip (test in a discrete area first - on the hinge edge). For the next time, throw an inexpensive plastic shower curtain over it.

    It is hard to see what you have without a picture but Steel wool 0000 with linseseed oil or maybe tung oil can be applied. Some solvents, Mineral Spirits, with the steel wool will soften the existing finish and lift the stained dye off so use the Super fine "0000" steel wool to clean the area. If this is a painted door you will be better off sanding the stain off and repainting.

    I wet a piece of paper towel about the size of the spot and place it on the spot, leave it on until it is gone. (this is on a white painted door)

    Moistenblocken found at Lowes will work get the one for inks and dyes.
