How to Make a Burlap Mat for a Picture

I have several antique frames that are odd sizes. With this burlap mat, I was able to make one of my standard size pictures fit without having to pay for custom framing!
This is a step by step guide to making a burlap mat and framing a standard sized picture into an odd sized frame.
Supplies: Antique Frame, Wide Burlap Ribbon, Scissors, Picture to Frame, Self-Sticking Mounting Board
Trace frame onto board, cut to fit, center your picture on the board and mark, remove the sticker and stick your picture to the board.
Cut sections of burlap ribbon to fit the sides and stick to the board.
Add ribbon to all four sides and trim to fit.
Add to the frame behind glass. Enjoy!

Stacy, I found that frame at a yard sale! I'm always looking for pretty frames! I don't care what the picture inside is. I just want the frame!

I definitely will be trying this project as I already have burlap and I already have frames that are difficult to find the right mat size 4
