There are Bamboo or faux bamboo roll down shades I have purchased at A Menards , Lowe's or Home Depot type of store. Hope this helps
knitted shade cloth from a green house builder, will still let you see out but cuts the temp.
I used the bamboo roll up shades from lowes. I ordered one at 96ins and about 72ins long. Cost about $40.
Don't buy the plastic - they will lose their shade: aka melt
It would be easy to make a curtain out of sheets, putting a rod through the top hem of the sheet and make a hem on the bottom to put some kind of rod or weights to hold it down. You could even make a few different ones to use for different seasons, moods, etc. Sheets can be an inexpensive way to shade and then just put it in the wash whenever it gets dusty from the wind blowing dust and dirt.
What about a painters drop cloth they are heavy enough to keep out the sun but light in color and if it get dirty you can was it .The cloth comes in big sizes and not expensive.
U can get those rollup bamboo screens, will give U privacy 2. Roll up in winter, if desired./get planter boxes, put behind chairs, attach trellis & grow some sort of vine
