Dixie Belle Paint Patina Collection on Lamp

3 Materials
Dixie Belle Patina Collection creates astonishing aged metal looks using metal infused Patina Paint that naturally reacts to the Patina Spray!
PrimeStart is for use as a base coat over metal. This proprietary formula blocks the patina layer from affecting the metal below.
The first step for metal pieces is to apply a coat of PrimeStart. If you are painting a surface other then metal you can start with a base coat of Dixie Belle Paint.
Step 1: PrimeStart
After you have a complete layer of PrimeStart allow to dry and pick your Patina Paint color.
Patina Paint comes in Iron, Bronze and Copper. For this lamp we are trying to achieve a rusted look so we are using the Iron Patina Paint.
Step 2: Patina Paint
Apply a coat of Iron Patina Paint and allow to dry completely.
Patina Spray comes in Green and Blue but for an authentic rusty look you will want to use the Iron Patina Paint and the Green Patina Spray.
Step 3: Patina Spray
Apply a second layer of Iron Patina Paint and while it is still wet spray the activating Green Patina Spray.

After about six hours you will have a thin layer of dust that can be wiped up with a damp towel. At this point you can choose to seal it with Gator Hide to stop the patina process or you can let it rust more. Once it looks how you want, seal it to stop the patina process.
The final look is a gorgeous and authentic looking rusted metal. This process happens naturally on metals that are exposed to the elements....we give you the products to get that weathered look on any surface.
