What to do bout vine borers and squash bugs killing my plants?

I am an organic gardener. We love yellow crook neck squash, but every year even when I move to a different location the borers kill the entire plants or the squash bugs do. ARGH!
I've planted marigolds, yarrow, used diatomaceous earth, egg shells, picked the eggs off the leaves. Put yellow bowls with soapy water around the plants, planted icicle radish. I am about to cut up irish spring bar soap to put around the plants and put a piece of wood under the plants and check for bugs underneath in the morning so I can squash those stinking squash bugs myself.
Any body got any other natural solution? Please help.
