You can chaulk, but you need to find out why it is separating from the wall
When cabinets are installed they are screwed to the wall to keep them all the same height. Then front is usually shimmed to meet the floor and a strip of veneer is used to cover it and dress up the toe kick. If they move away from the wall there is clearly some issues to be addressed. Before you attemp to fill in the gap you need to find out why they moved.
I agree with Jason, Either the cabinets have shifted off the wall or the countertop itself shifted. That need to be addressed first.
Depending on if countertop or counters have shifted and need adjusted usually caulking is used for that.
Thank you all. I will have someone look into that.
Thanks Dalyn. I am trying to get to the root of the problem.
Caulk or a small strip of 1/4" quarter round.
But as you have them checked you need to find out where bugs are coming from because you don't want them in your cabinets or underneath. If home is on a slab check for foundation cracks. Bugs just don't appear out of no place and just because they started coming showing up now, they exist within your home and you may need cabinets removed to see if floor is damaged and needs repairs. If you have a crawl space or a basement have a professional check area for any damage that you may not see from the outside.
